DREAMS
Lyrics by Kareem Idris
Intro
(Singing) So Long So Long So Long So Long
Verse One:
It was a cold night moon hung and shined bright Vince felt invince-able especially after the fight/
Long drawn out words said un-polite his girl had a knack to push buttons to his core like /talking ‘bout issues from the past /passive aggressive his mother said it wouldn’t last/ blast!!!
sharp shooter his weakness was white girls with hooters /silver spoon attract suitors that smoke more than Buddha/ Hallelujah getting lost like Bermuda so deep he didn’t know the name of the cougar/ sucking on his kahunas and face game was super stretched out maneuvers the type you save then delete on computers/
Money can’t buy you love though/ Vince was used to using his capital as a lasso/ low/ most would stoop after show/ strike a pose, white nose, scenes froze, lost clothes, bruised knees and elbows /but she was different even made him think about his girl /no guilt just a more expensive string of pearls/ side chick to Last same time of candle wick /lips thick make a mess with the lipstick/ fit/ thrown by her man rick who trailed her in his car and now Vince is the target
First Hook:
So long to yesterday
So long to yesteryear
I’ve seen so many peers fall from fears, droppin tears/
But it was all sincere, where do we go from here?
The good ones disappear
Me: (Singing) So Long So Long So Long So Long

Second Verse:
Anger mixed with passion/
He’s only thinking bashing/
Insecure the more he thinks of the past when /
Him and his lady were an item young and naïve at the club dancing/ romancing/
Before the dance took a turn and her appetite grew before she learned what the power of the vagina could do /interest in a new career she desired to pursue brand new hairdo highlights with the blonde hue/ only ranked with a few 2 live for a crew drinks passed music blasts she fast and act fool/
But Rick had it up to here shed a tear when he saw her enter into Vince gates and disappear/
Exited from the car/ with his new piece that was legally registered!!! And Vince thought he was a Star!!!!/ Gates remained open while he frolicked at the bar!!!! /With his back to the entrance but Rick knew who he was looking for!!!!/But his lady saw him first/ her outburst/ made the whole crowd disperse/ Vince cursed /as he crashed into the wall head first! /Rick erratic with a pointed semi-automatic emphatic as he spoke to Vince who was stuck from panic/ now face to face with his fate /his life flashed before him murdered was pre-meditated/crime of passion up close the host assassinated / without a reason to live turned the gun on himself to seal the whims of the primitive!
Second Hook:
So long to yesterday
So long to yesteryear
I’ve seen so many peers fall from fears, dropping tears/
But it was all sincere, where do we go from here?
The good ones disappear
